Abstract
The thesis deals with the role of festivity insofar as it affects the creation of identity and cultural policy of a city. Through the investigation of festivity as a cultural, sociological and political phenomenon, the work focuses on the system of festivities and in particular the festivities held in the SFRY which developed and underwent transformation as a result of numerous political and social changes. The event Svečanosti slobode in Kruševac (1965-2000) whose programme (memorial and scenic musical) has been held at the memorial complex Slobodište, was selected as a case study. The organizers of the festival have been working for decades on the creation of the programme, symbols and rituals intended to impart continuity and identity to both the memorial and the festivities. The paper analyses the mission, the vision, the symbol, as well as the organizational specificities of the festival. The change in the model of the cultural policy pursued in the 1990s brought about ...the change in the programme, the narrative and the ritual system of the manifestation. The phenomenon of festivity is also analyzed through other forms of performance and scenic art: ritual, ambiance theatre, spectacle, as well as the instrument for the policy of city remembrance.

U radu se razmatra uloga svečanosti u okviru kreiranja identiteta i kulturne politike grada. Proučavajući svečanost kao kulturološki, sociološki, politički fenomen osnovni fokus istraživanja je na prazničnom sistemu i svečanostima SFRJ koje su se razvijale i transformisale usled brojnih političkih i društvenih promena. Kao studija slučaja izabrana je manifestacija Svečanosti slobode u Kruševcu (1965-2000) čiji se program (memorijalni i scensko-muzički) realizovao na prostoru memorijalnog kompleksa Slobodište. Socijalistički identitet Kruševca vezivao se za Slobodište. Organizatori svečanosti su decenijama radili na stvaranju programa, simbola, rituala koji bi spomeniku i svečanostima obezbedili trajanje i identitet.U radu se analiziraju misija,vizija, simboli, ali i organizacione specifičnosti ovih svečanosti. Sa promenom modela kulturne politike devedesetih godina XX veka menja se program, narativ, ritualni sistem svečanosti. Pojava svečanosti analizira se i kroz druge form...e izvođačke i predstavljačke umetnosti: ritual, ambijentalno pozorište, spektakl, ali i kao instrument politike sećanja grada.
