(Re)searching Wasted Times – вишемедијска просторна инсталација

Abstract

(Re)searching „wasted“ times је вишемедијска просторна инсталација која истражује различите перцепције унутрашњих временских токова у вези са фазом инкубације појединачних идеја и њиховом међу-повезаношћу са собством, односно реалним, свесним временом и простором, али и оним унутрашњим, подсвесним. Одакле долазе идеје и колико се кретање кроз различите фазе креативног процеса поклапа са трајањем у реалним димензијама време-простора? У аутоматским цртежима и записима наилазимо на реалне трагове, односно лимене, тачке прелаза и међусобног утицања спољашњег, реалног трајања у времену и унутрашњих, интимних временских линија. У њима препознајемо граничне тачке свесног и подсвесног. Овај рад започиње личним и поетичким преиспитивањем и отвара простор за уметничко истраживање перцепцијe чекања на само-остварење. Време које смо са уживањем потрошили и/или време снова наспрам кошмарног времена стрепње, искуства креативних блокада, времена које нам је одузето или га сами себи одузимамо чекањем и одлагањем које често можемо да искусимо. Због чега чекамо, пуштајући да зрнца песка полако отичу истовремено се ужасавајући тренутка када ће кроз сужење пролетети и последње зрнце и да ли заиста немамо могућност да надокнадимо, односно вратимо време које је прошло?

(Re)searching „wasted“ times, as an artistic endeavor, could be described as a polymedia spatial installation. Poetically and theoretically speaking, it delves into the diverse world of internal times and their perception, how these timelines are interconnected with the incubation periods of individual ideas, the self, i.e. the real, conscious space-time continuum and the subconscious realm. Where do ideas come from? What do our internal temporal dimensions look like and how much does our movement through the phases of the creative process match our passage through the real, conscious world of space-time continuum? If we dare analyze automatic drawings and notes, we will surely find physical traces, liminal points of passage betwixt and between our external, measurable existence in time and space and the internal, intimate timelines of our subconscious lives. The practice of automatism reveals these limina. This dissertation starts from a point of personal and poetic self-inquiry, opening up a space for artistic research of our perceptions of waiting for self-discovery. The times we spend joyfully and the times perceived in a dream state in comparison to the times of anxiety, the experience of creative blocks, the times that were taken from us (whether by external or internal means) and, of course, the ever painful experience of procrastination. What is the essence behind waiting for the right moment and letting those tiny grains of sand fly down that notoriously narrow hole – all the while dreading the passage of the last one? Do we truly not have the possibility to rewind and make up for time ill-spent?
